Pinterest in Action!

Today was a super busy day in my house! With my husband working away half the time and a twelve month old getting into everything, you can about imagine how difficult it can be to keep a house organized.  I never was the most organized person ever either.  So today my wonderful mother came over and helped me "get my house right".  Her house of course always looks like you just stepped into a design magazine!! Everything coordinates perfectly and is always put exactly in its place.  One day I will learn her secrets and keep house like she does!  So after what felt like hours of cleaning, sorting, and straightening (not to mention the gazillion bags trash bags we went through), my house start to come together.  My dinning room table is no longer home to my computer and I now have a proper office set up (yay me!).  Mom and I both love Pinterest! Its just a hub of great ideas.  So using our Pinterest knowledge and various pieces of furniture I had lying around my house we put together this amazing coffee bar in my dinning room! I absolutely love the composition and the multicolored mugs :) And then we moved on to the kitchen.  My window is one of those frosted glass planter box windows.  Can't really see out, great place to collect crap, oh and it leaks from time to time.  Huge eye sore in my opinion!  So we broke out leftover burlap scraps and made a curtain. Without having to sew a single stitch too!!  I love the way both turned out :) So today has been a hugely successful and crafty day.

My coffee bar is ready to be enjoyed!!

Wish I had a steam iron to get rid of the wrinkles in the burlap, but I still love how it turned out!

Evie Willow is turning 1!

It is amazing to see how fast the last year has come and gone! I blame motherhood on my lack of blogging.  My goal for this upcoming year is much more posts!! But until then enjoy the cuteness of Evie's pictures!

This shot has me inspired to do a vintage shoot! Stay tuned for those pictures!

A Mother's Love

A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no other can take.

One child in her arms, one in her heart, and the third soon to arrive.  She is the perfect image of what a mother should be.  So giving of herself for her children.  Very caring and loving! Jace and soon to be baby Sawyer are lucky to call her MOMMY!

Family of 3...Soon to be 4!

This little family is near and dear to my heart! The love they have for one anther can be seen by the pure joy on their faces.  Their little family of three will be growing into a family of four in just over a month!  My relationship with this family goes way back!

Blaine is my "adopted brother".  No my parents didn't adopt him on paper, but the legality of it doesn't not change our bond.  His fiance' Jaime, who also happens to be my very best friend from high school, is expecting there second little boy in January (we are hoping for December!!).  And that little cutie running around is my adorable godchild Jace!  Could there be a cuter little boy?

I have done Jaime's first maternity shots, Jace's newborns, numerous family sessions; but I think this is my favorite of all the sessions! Their smiles were definitely contagious all day long!
